Prior to polishing the material, it may be necessary to first pre-shape the material, maybe as a bevel or by making a rounding in the material. KGS diamond flap discs can be used for sanding almost all materials, often they are used for (natural) stone, plastic, glass and metal. The focus is on material removal and deburring, excellent for chamfering and bevelling, also suitable for both edge and surface grinding. Our diamond flap discs offer a smooth and even grind, protection for the operator, and significantly reduced hand and arm vibrations compared to cup wheels.

We offer two types of diamond flap discs, the KGS Hybrid®-T and the KGS Hybrid® flap disc. The KGS Hybrid®-T diamond flap disc is made of metal bonded diamond flaps combined with silicon carbide flaps. This results in fast material removal with a soft and smooth feel. KGS Hybrid® diamond flap disc is made of metal bonded diamond flaps, this makes the discs very aggressive. The KGS Hybrid®-T requires more time to remove the same amount of material removal than the Hybrid®, the Hybrid®-T disc is more suitable for work where a lower material removal is required. KGS Hybrid® diamond flap discs are excellent for pre-shaping materials, thanks to their aggressiveness and long service life. Material removal and speed of the KGS Hybrid® flap disc is equal to that of cup wheels, however, the vibrations of the machine during use are much less. The KGS Hybrid® flap disc is available in four different grit sizes, grit 50, 60, 120 and 200. Grit 50 is officially approved for use on Dekton®. The discs are available with M14 connection or with 22.23 mm bore.
KGS Hybrid®-T flap disc range is ideal for grinding the edges of thick laminated glass, providing a high stock removal at low pressure. The multi-layers of cloth resharpen continuously, giving fast cut and long lifetime, and a very nice and clean finish. The KGS Hybrid®-T flap disc is available in four different grit sizes; 60, 120, 200 and 400. Most recommended grit sizes for glass seaming is grit 120 (black) for stock-removal or grit 200 (red) for light arrissing. Available with M14 connection or with 22.23 mm bore.
