Meet Adil, the full stack developer helping shape KGS DIAMOND’s digital platforms, from kgs.swiss to integrated tools for customers and colleagues.

Working at KGS DIAMOND: Full stack developer Adil

The Full Stack Developer Behind Our Digital Journey

When customers visit kgs.swiss or place an order via our online channels, they rarely think about the code running behind the scenes. For Adil, our full stack developer, that’s exactly the point.

“If everything feels simple and reliable for the user,” he says, “then the complex part of my job is working.”

Building the digital backbone

KGS DIAMOND is in the middle of an ambitious digital journey: new corporate website, growing e-commerce activities, integrations with PIM, DAM, CRM and ERP systems, and more data-driven tools for sales and marketing. Behind many of these initiatives is a familiar name on project lists, Teams calls, and technical diagrams: Adil.

As a full stack developer, he moves comfortably between front-end and back-end work. One moment he’s improving how product information is displayed to visitors; the next, he’s working on integrations that allow systems to talk to each other in the background.

“My role sits between business needs and technology,” Adil explains. “I translate what colleagues want customers to experience into something that actually works in the browser, on the server, and in the database.”

Connecting tools, teams and data

For a manufacturing company like KGS DIAMOND, digital is not just a website; it’s a network of systems that must work together. Product data, digital assets, customer information and order flows all move through different platforms.

Adil plays a key role in connecting these worlds. He helps make sure that:

  • Product information flows correctly from internal systems into web and e-commerce channels.

  • Digital assets such as images and documents are accessible where they are needed.

  • Data from online touchpoints can be used to support sales and customer service.

“That integration work is less visible than a new web page,” he says, “but it’s essential. When systems are properly connected, colleagues spend less time on manual tasks and more time helping customers.”

A partner for the business

Colleagues don’t just know Adil as “the developer”. They see him as a partner who asks questions, listens, and looks for pragmatic solutions.

When marketing wants to improve the online experience, when sales needs a new tool to support distributors, or when customer service receives feedback about the website, Adil is often involved early in the conversation.

“I try to understand the real problem first,” he says. “Sometimes the question is ‘Can you build this button?’ but the real need is ‘How can we make this process easier for the customer?’ Once that is clear, we can design the right solution together.”

This way of working fits well with KGS DIAMOND’s culture: cooperative, pragmatic, and focused on long-term value.

Balancing reliability and innovation

In his daily work, Adil balances two priorities that are important for KGS DIAMOND:

  • Reliability – Systems must be stable, secure and predictable.

  • Innovation – New ideas and digital features must be tested, improved and implemented.

“To me, innovation doesn’t mean changing everything all the time,” Adil explains. “It means improving step by step, learning from data and feedback, and making sure we don’t compromise stability.”

That mindset is visible in how projects are delivered: small, controlled releases instead of big, risky launches. Each improvement is tested, measured and refined.

A global impact, from behind the screen

Although much of his work happens behind a laptop, the impact of Adil’s work is global.

When a distributor quickly finds the right product information online, when an engineer downloads a technical document without friction, or when a sales colleague shares a clean link to an industry page with a customer — these moments reflect the digital foundations that Adil helps to build and maintain.

“It’s motivating to know that what we do here affects people in many countries,” he says. “You might be writing code in a quiet office, but that code helps someone in a workshop, on a construction site, or in a lab get their job done.”

The human side of digital

What colleagues appreciate most is not just Adil’s technical skills, but his calm and collaborative way of working. He takes time to explain what is possible, what is not, and why. He turns complex technical topics into clear options that non-technical colleagues can understand.

“At the end of the day, digital transformation is not only about tools and platforms,” he reflects. “It’s about people working together in a smarter way. If my work helps make that a bit easier, then I’m doing my job.”

As KGS DIAMOND continues its digital journey — new websites, smarter data, better tools for customers and partners — one thing is certain: behind many of these developments, there will be a familiar name in the code repository.

The full stack developer behind our digital journey may not be on stage at exhibitions, but his work helps shape how KGS DIAMOND appears to the world — every single day.
