Meet Jörg Richter – Strengthening KGS Presence in Eastern Germany

Since 1 January 2024, Jörg Richter has been part of the KGS Winter GmbH team, working as Area Sales Manager Stone, North/East Germany. With more than three decades of sales experience and a strong connection to his region, he brings both professional depth and personal balance to the role.

From Automotive to Abrasives

Jörg’s career in sales began in 1990. Over the years, he has worked across several industries, with a particularly formative period in the automotive sector. There, he focused on topics such as:

  • Marketing and customer loyalty programs

  • Digital document management

  • Fastening technology

These experiences have shaped the way he thinks about customers, processes, and long-term relationships. Today, he applies that mindset to the natural stone market in Eastern Germany, representing KGS Winter to distributors, partners, and professional users.

“The team has welcomed me warmly, and I look forward to growing together with them and tackling new challenges,” Jörg says.


Experience, Network and a Feel for the Market

Life in the Erzgebirge: Balance Outside of Work

Jörg lives near Freiberg, in the Erzgebirge region of Germany – an area known for its natural beauty and outdoor possibilities. It is no surprise that much of his free time is spent outside.

He enjoys:

  • Hiking and cycling in the local area and across Europe

  • Regular yoga practice

  • Swimming and other activities that support a healthy, balanced lifestyle
